     @cell @lain the biggest issue I have had with the international stuff is, it can only search in your native language apparently. so while it may scrape japanese sites and consume that information and regurgitate it in english, when it has to web query live, it only does english searches. why does this limitation exist???

     That does not fit my definition of "a product that does actually work pretty well".
     
     Especially when I can also just download a model and run an equivalently retarded chatbot locally without all the spyware if I wanted to.

     @sunbeam_rider @sun I think they are intelligent in the way that everybody would have defined intelligence before LLMs came along. They can write, code, talk, sing, paint, converse about complicated topics, create new ideas. I don’t think they have an ego or soul.
