     Over the course of 30 years, I have not seen anything from them other than maybe single event during the year.

     How do they facilitate the GNU project?

     @restorante 1) there is no office. Patrull is not the direktors or pms jon st all. 2) not really, most people at the fsf have even there for decades. 3) what exactly?

     1. Managing office operation: payroll, financial reporting, compliance fillings, etc.

     2. Hiring staffs and basically running HR department.

     3. And many others.

     Basically it is a position with a broad array of duties.

     Edit: reading about this position makes me think a picture of an entire day to day office life. There are finance, payroll, HR and so on. There are many people handling these things.

     On the FSF, possibly only a single person handles these whole things. It is this deputy director.

     (Only possibly, because I do not know the real fact).
