I think the people with ethnic opinions tend to gravitate towards the same opinion on Israel, and there are about a million things that theory fails to account for. Ultimately, Israel needs the US, and the US doesn't rely on Israel for its continued existence, and if they controlled the US government, they would have been able to reverse this: they have not. Anyway, I don't live there so we need some girls/priests to turn zonk straight so that threads don't turn into discussions of Israel.

Evaluate: "To fix the value of; to rate; to appraise." "Practical application" and "acting" require "should". The course of action is not a "fact", it is a proposal. You cannot "evaluate" anything without applying your values. The sun comes up: this requires no evaluation. It requires no action on your part.

Pragmatism is by definition "an approach that evaluates theories or beliefs in terms of the success of their practical application.", the direct opposite to acting on shoulds.
I don't need to like the jews to look at the pieces that are moving on a board and focus on said movements rather than the faces of the players. Are Israel and the USA thoroughly evil factions? definitely. Am I discussing that as opposed to what they're actually doing? no.
