It also depends on the percent. 70% is a good strong chocolate, 90% is like eating bitter chalk. -

Belgian chocolate is the one thing those people can do right. Knowing you as an American (not derogatory) you're probably just too habituated to large amounts of sugar. Keep trying the chocolate -

I am trying some imported (tm) Belgian (tm) dark chocolate and I don't really like the bitter taste that much but at least it doesn't taste like fucking vomit
