    Two things NOT being covered very well in mainstream news:

    1. COVID-19 surge (at least locally in my area among my social contacts... very significant)

    2. Cesium-137 contamination event with origins in Indonesia, with unclear how large the contamination is. (scrap metal/shipping containers/shrimp/spices... so far... the detections are only happening when that stuff makes it to the US, where we have screening for radioactive stuff at ports).

    3. EPSTEIN FILES, DID WE FORGET ABOUT THOSE?!

      @spocko @USelaine I can't imagine it's gotten any better.

      @spocko @USelaine So, the Indonesia sources claim that they've traced the Cesium-137 to a pile of scrap metal in a small town (Serang, West Java), but the Cesium-137 is spread around all over the town and authorities were (this week) trying to collect all the contamination and plant sunflowers everywhere and were talking about "safely storing" the contaminated items in a local warehouse. However, that doesn't explain the shrimp or the cloves -- (update, news says shrimp processing is nearby, but spices, not). It sounds like they're blaming the use of shipping containers made out of that contaminated steel... but no news stories on HOW MANY contaminated shipping containers are involved and where they have all gone. And the clove packaging company is 800km from the shrimp packaging company, and neither are in the contaminated steel village.

      @USelaine @ai6yr I'm wondering if anyone is tracing it back to the source.
      I wrote about the lax food safety regulation out of Indonesia, and in America, but that was in 2014.

      The US food regulation has gotten worse under Trump 1 then worse under Trump 2
