     I think Nostr will die in a couple years anyway. It was a "cool" fad while it lasted, but not worth abandoning the ActivityPub projects, in my opinion.

     Nostr is basically unmoderated. Most of it is just spam and other retarded nonsense but occasionally you'd see illegal content. The risk is not worth the federation. I wanted to give it a chance in case there was good discussion, and to give my users more people to call the nigger word, but have since rescinded that.

     @matty @triumphoverevil365 I tried to configure my proxy last night but I'm too retarded to get it working. I instead got all my images to be broken links. I probably am just not doing the correct things in my NGINX config file.

     NCD proxies all media for the privacy and safety of its users. Of course that increases my own risk, but that's why myself and the moderators respond quickly to reports.

     @dcc @matty @triumphoverevil365 Thank you for this input. Makes me feel better for not having done this. I was just trying to make my instance as safe and private as possible but it seems like overkill considering I already don't save content to my server from remote instances.

     @Sovereign @matty @triumphoverevil365 The only way i would do it is with a raid 0 array of usb sticks or sd carsds (the only problem is the media link is to your server and it does not regen but whatever)
