   @thomasfuchs Hmm… someone I know just stopped taking it because the side effects are fucking horrible. If a drug's making you shit yourself multiple times a week, those numbers seem pretty fucking hypothetical.

   Oral Semaglutide is about the only GLP-1 agonist I've managed to tolerate (still have occasional bouts of discomfort, but nothing like the injected version) and, despite those numbers, I'm not in a hurry to try Tirzepatide.

     @thomasfuchs @pdcawley some "really good on paper" drugs have very high frequency of unpleasant side effects, acne drugs even asthma drugs. Its part of any evaluation for drugs combating long term and chronic illnes.. if you have to live with a great deal of discomfort for decades but have already adapted to a chronic condition its not always a simple choice
