     @NatureMC @Trifolium yep it’s right next door and one of the unique aspects of our approach is that it is very much based on Rickett’s take on local ecosystems. So instead of showing everything about the ocean the aquarium’s work is focused on the local ecosystem.

     Totally beside the point, but noticed the Monterey Bay Aquarium address: Cannery Row, Monterey, CA.

     @skinnylatte since this VP job reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, I forwarded this to a CMO friend to see if they might know someone who might be interested. Our friend has worked for several OSS, data management and analytics, and [not really but the marketing hype says] AI companies in the Bay Area. @czds and I first met him, OMG, twenty years ago, and he and his family have become good friends since. Good guy who has hired a lot of great people.

     @baishen @jadp @czds marketing in a cultural institution is very different from marketing in a tech context. they are responsible for ticketing and audience and general brand reputation and user experience

     So... I submitted an application, especially because of the amazing experiences you've posted about this year. We've been aquarium members for some time — eldest sprog is VERY ENTHUSED about Octopodes, and now studying biosystems engineering.

     I've worked in and volunteered in climate change related nonprofits/NGOs for some years, and also worked in the more traditional Tech industry.

     Anyway, thank you for posting everything you do. It is inspiring.
