     @ryo @Telvannichad @sapphire There was a period of time in the 80s and 90s where Disney (I know, pedophiles…) and Dreamworks were having some back and forth producing some memorable works. I think some were still using rotoscoping and conveyed weightedness and lighting properly. It’s just a damn shame that the animations were largely targeted for children. And by the time the aughts began, the family/children animation industry had pretty much been taken over by CGI. Western cartoons for adult markets are still stuck on family guy tier stuff that never takes itself seriously.

     @ryo @BlinkRape the 1960s and 1970s run was the only scooby doo and I don't know any millennials who watched any of the 80s series at all. They were horrible and had shit like real ghosts and monsters. They only existed to fill time slots on ABC network broadcast channels when they didn't have anything else to run. That's basically what all the Hanna Barbara stuff was, just incredibly low budget filler between profitable television shows
