   @joeinwynnewood @thekitmalone Polling is utter garbage. When I say "politically expedient" I'm talking about actually winning elections. Not performing to the proxy metrics (polls, etc.) that keep losing elections.

     (Caveat, I'm not trans and don't have trans people in my immediate circle.)

     Moral clarity ought to be politically expedient, but it isn't because far too many politicians rely on consultant polling of what is "good" to talk about, i.e. polls well, and what is not, i.e. what does not poll well.

     This cedes the field to regressive-right dog-whistles and scapegoating which is what created the bad polling in the first place, idiocy!
