   Theory: online slang is shifting English closer to German. In both languages you have compound words, but German compound words often connote something much stronger than the literal translation of their two parts e.g. Weltschmerz literally would translate to world pain but really means "a feeling of melancholy and world-weariness". Similarly, English now has words like failson: an incompetent, unsuccessful middle-class or upper-class man who is protected from economic duress by his family's wealth or influence.

     let's see: climate change grift selling bogus carbon credits

     campaigned for Congress talking about how he had planted and grown tobacco with his own hands, then when campaigning for president lied that he was at a relative's deadbed from cancer blamed on tobacco.

     The man grew up in the Watergate Hotel. His father made all his money being Armand Hammer's politician. They literally called him the Senator from Occidental Petroleum.

     Oh and shamelessly and provably lied to hype climate.
