     Things that don't mean what they appear to mean:

     'I have full confidence in....'

     'We are fully committed to....

     'We don't recognise those figures....'

     'we value your call....'

     'Your views are of value to us....'

     'the innocent have nothing to hide....'

     'wealth trickles down....'

     'we are confident that we will reach....'

     'we have no plans to....'

     and so on.... you'll have lots more examples of the double speak of politics I'm sure
