   When i heard Colbert's announcement that The Late Show would be cancelled by next May, a small teardrop formed in my eye. Wonder if that's CBS bowing to the fascist pressure ? 🤔😣😥

They would’ve beaten him in court & probably could’ve gotten restitution for legal bills. They chose to capitulate rather than stand up for what was right because they are rightwingers looking for an excuse to silence liberal free speech or are being blackmailed in some way.

     It’s easy: his threats would hit them in the one place they care about — their bank accounts.

     Unlike the Gilded Age Robber Barons, these people think they CAN take it with them, and have no sense of patriotism they’d like to whitewash their legacies with.

     Absolutely. My liberal uncle spent 45 years at CBS, he’s super angry at them lately. Damned depressing state of affairs.

     Been watching Colbert forever. Perhaps HBO will make him a late night offer.

     Jon Stewart says he’s afraid that TDS is going to be unceremoniously sold off for parts.
