Recently watched the prequels again and I gotta say the revisionism doesn't make sense to me, these are objectively bad and poorly acted movies, JJ Abrams fumbling the sequels doesn't make Hayden Christensens performance good, ya'll need to apologize to Mike Stoklasa

@vokainen099 George Lucas got more hate than George Bush back then

@PraxisOfEvil Gotta admit though, those early/mid 2000s webpages explaining why the prequels suck are pure concentrated 2000s nostalgia

George Lucas should buy back the franchise from Disney and make more prequels-tier slop after declaring all the slop made under the Disney regime to no longer be canon.

@Hoss @vokainen099 Nobody should buy the rights to Star Wars and they should just stop making movies entirely

You answered your own question.

@Hoss @vokainen099 Who even enjoys SW anymore? I know Lucas called it slop for kids but the only people I see defending it are sad millennials

Then George sells it to Warner Brothers for another 4 billion.

That would be hilarious. Because Disney has proven that these idiots are easily fleeced and they'd stupidly flock BACK to Lucas to get rugpulled and financially diddled once again

The old KOTOR games are supposedly classics, but I've never played them.

@FeelsOttoMan @vokainen099 @PraxisOfEvil @Hoss were they ever good though?

@PraxisOfEvil @Hoss @vokainen099 I miss good Star Wars video games. It should be as easy to make as a Mario game. Yet...🤮

Kotor 1 > Kotor 2.
(The mmo, is not a kotor game, no matter what anyone says.)

@Nudhul @FeelsOttoMan @vokainen099 @PraxisOfEvil @Hoss Yes, absolutely. TIE Fighter and Jedi Academy are some of the best games ever released on the PC, and the original Xbox’s lineup of Star Wars games is straight bangers.

@Hoss @vokainen099 @FeelsOttoMan @PraxisOfEvil i played dark forces (doom clone), shadows of the empire, and rogue squadron.
oh and i rented the racing game.
real talk tho, how did the rebel forces acquire better fighters/bombers than the empire? that just dont make no sense
-

How did the empire build a planet-destroying superweapon with a really obvious and likely easily fixable flaw?
-

@Nudhul @vokainen099 @FeelsOttoMan @PraxisOfEvil @Hoss from what I remember it was partly imperial doctrine favoring bigger capital ships and lots of disposable fighters combined with the rebels ending up with a lot of clone wars era scrap. That and uh, the designers of the x wing defected and took the designs with them the day before they were supposed to give them to the empire.

@RK7 @vokainen099 @FeelsOttoMan @PraxisOfEvil @Hoss >lots of disposable fighters
thats stupid though, especially when they required living pilots
-

The droid army during the Clone Wars made you wonder why living pilots were required for anything in the first place.

@Nudhul @Hoss @vokainen099 @FeelsOttoMan @PraxisOfEvil Well supposedly TIE Fighters were faster/more maneuverable and were deployed in massive numbers, but rebel fighters just cut right through them anyway because plot magic.

>we're supposed to believe that the leaders of the nazi party saw their own people as disposable fodder
Sounds more like the Soviets.

@vokainen099 @RK7 @FeelsOttoMan @PraxisOfEvil @Hoss yes, but it goes to show how retarded the ww2 narrative is. we're supposed to believe that the leaders of the nazi party saw their own people as disposable fodder, while the fodder would willingly throw themselves away for...reasons??? against much superior infantry and fighters?

@Nudhul @RK7 @FeelsOttoMan @PraxisOfEvil @Hoss It's because it's all a fantasy allegory for WW1 & 2 conceived in the 1970s, realistically they'd use missiles and space drones, assuming fleet-based space warfare would be viable at all
-

@Nudhul @RK7 @FeelsOttoMan @PraxisOfEvil @Hoss That would be closer to the WW1 part, but again, that happened IRL because offensive tactics were inadequate given advances in defense technology brought in by the times.
It's technically rule of cool, but even your average normie is increasingly too jaded for it to work anymore

@Hoss @vokainen099 @RK7 @FeelsOttoMan @PraxisOfEvil @Nudhul
The lore explanation for the inferiority of droids in general is that they have very linear thinking and that their tactics usually suck as a result, whereas biological sentients are more creative and tend to outsmart droids. Though that shouldn't matter when you can make thousands of the fuckers in a single day.

They also were able to manufacture tactical droids which were smarter and coordinated the operations of the dumb footsoldier models.

@Hoss @vokainen099 @RK7 @FeelsOttoMan @PraxisOfEvil germans were superior in all aspects until the very end of the war, except maybe logistics. if that faggot cripple didn't hoodwink the US into getting involved, they probably would have won.
as much as the filthy britoids hate to say it, they would have lost without the US to pull them out of their own mess (again)
-

Assuming the US was always going to get involved, they shouldn't have stopped at Berlin. The Soviets were running on fumes, and we had nukes. If Patton had been allowed to press our advantage we probably could've toppled communism within a year.
-

That's why they had to kill Patton. They stopped him from finishing the fight against the Red Army, but he was going to come home and ride a populist wave into the White House if they hadn't murdered him.

@Hoss @vokainen099 @RK7 @FeelsOttoMan @PraxisOfEvil the people running the US were communists so why would they want to stop it?
there's a reason why the UK was still on the hook for the lend-lease shit and the soviets weren't
