     @cell @kaia Also it reminds me that my bank is like: Other countries can send/withdraw via SEPA but you can't.
     (Unless you use their phone malware I guess but I'm never doing that)

     I'm using phone malware now, but on a dedicated business phone where I keep TradeRepublic etc. I never do anything but "business" with it

     @nerthos The only banks who offer anything tangibly different are Shari'ah institutions, offering student loans and mortgages. I've recently discovered Halal mortgages are offered to the Ummah in Ireland, the only way to afford a place to live.

     @nerthos @kaia @thatbrickster Here they sucked all less than a decade ago. Then a billionaire established a new bank (AirBank) with obnoxious ads about paying zero fees and the industry had to adapt. Before that, Erste was probably one of the worst offenders when it came to fees for doing absolutely anything and now you pay basically none with their basic account.
