Another handy #Japanese word that helped me a lot in #Japan was "Kore", literally "This here". Maybe not the most polite way to order something, but it gets the job done.

When I was in #Japan for the first time I was extremely anxious about entering restaurants, because where I lived, nearly nobody spoke English, there were no English signs and no translation apps. (I didn't even have internet on my phone back then.) My #Japanese was ok-ish, but I still couldn't read Kanji. So this was how I managed anyway.
Today it will be much easier, because (esp. in big cities) they are prepared for foreigners and will give you an english menu right away. #MastoArt

In #Japan each city, prefecture and region has their own thing that they are famous for. From fruits, to products and even special dishes. Make sure to check what the region you are going to is famous for, so you can try it!

Do you have a favourite #Japanese food? I personally love #Okonomiyaki Hiroshima style - cabbage pancake, layered with egg, #Yakisoba (fried noodles) and bacon. ? I also really like #Natto and everything with #Mentaiko (pollack roe). お腹がすいた〜!
