   Introducing The Fediverse

   One of our brightest stars @_elena has created a great Fediverse promotional video. This tour de force is posted across multiple platforms in different languages. It should be obvious promoting the Fediverse is best done by connecting with people not currently on the Fediverse, but some people don't like that it is available on YouTube. Folks, this is misguided. Please like and share the YouTube version so more people learn about the Fediverse:

     @tom_legoc @peertube yeah I'm 100% convinced it's because I initially published the video as unlisted. Ditto for my other Fediverse videos (sigh).

     On the other hand the videos on my other channel were initially published as "public" and work perfectly, interoperability-wise 🥲

     I will definitely do things differently in the future

     I initially published the Fedi promo video as "unlisted". A day later I changed its visibility to "Public", but it still does not show up on my PeerTube feed on Mastodon.

     When I paste its URL here on Mastodon, I get a 403 error.

     Again, all my other PeerTube videos that I published as "Public" don't experience this bug.

     I'm sorry you can't interact with my video on here - but this is not the usual behavior, the two software really are interoperable 🥲

     @_elena @peertube oh, I see, this is how it works (pasting url). I have got 403 error with your latest video but it was ok with another one. Thanks for your message

     @tom_legoc I think you may have found a PeerTube bug. cc'ing @peertube here.

     Basically, you should be able to copy the URL of any PeerTube video and paste it into Mastodon (or another Fedi software)... that way the video would appear in your feed and you could reply/like it... the reply would sync as a comment on PeerTube.

     This works for all my public PeerTube videos, but not the Fedi one. I think I know why (con't)

     @mastodonmigration @_elena but it seems not true that I can react to a peertube video from mastodon as apparently I need to log in peertube to be able to like or even to comment as I get an error .
