   i'm not hopeful for those to ever be fixed to use xdg dirs, bleh

     @Soblow that was fixed, and, i'm not moving it
     
     i'm just complaining that valve will never make it use .config or .local (or rather, they do, but they also *always* creates the stupid symlinks back into ~/)

     @navi Always reminds me of the weird old stuff in my desktop accumulated over the years that even have versions in them, like ~/.freeciv-client-rc-2.5, ~/.kde4/, ~/.gstreamer-0.10/, ~/.tuxguitar-1.2/, ~/.stepmania-5.0/

     @lanodan every now a then i do an `ls -la` and clean up random dotfiles in ~/
     
     i hope to one day have nothing but .config, .cache, and .local
     
     maybe even move .config to ~/.local/etc and .cache to ~/.local/cache...
