     I just found out that the ayatollah issued a fatwa in 2003 that it is a violation of Islam for Iran to produce, keep, or use nuclear weapons. Strange that you never hear that. It still stands.

     That's not what iran is offering though. They obviously require they be allowed to have nuclear program for domestic reasons. And there's no way they're giving up their ballistic missiles. They'd know that's certain death.

     Making a nuclear bomb isn't hard, short of getting and refining material. It basically a primered explosive. Delivery system are far more complex. So I don't see why they wouldn't have one if they wanted it. Throw up a bunch of fake centrifuges so israel can have something to bomb, and leak those locations through moles. Lie about deaths after an attack. "You sunk my battle ship!"

     If that's Israel's center position, they're shitty negotiators. Iran would effectively be a conquered people. They might as well fight to the death or until they get a better deal.
     
     If any country should be bombed to keep them from having nuclear weapons, it's israel. They don't have the maturity to hold that kind of power. It's like giving a pitbull to baby Killer.

     I dunno. I do this shit all the time just to fuck with the opposition, and often early in a matter. "Here's a deal I know you won't take, but I'm going to be a real asshat when I present it to ruffle your feathers, and when I give you a few black eyes, it's your fault. You could have avoided it, so you can't complain. You exchange the deal for more pain."

     I think all iran has to do is keep bombing israel and just take what israel throws at it. It can suffer far more damage. It's size is far larger and it has 10 times the population. It can cause a lot of pain even if it loses. Sometimes that reason to not fight. Plus, israelis can't handle a real war. They're used to bullying people who can't fight back. A real war would be the new holocaust for them.

     Iran has 90 million people compared to Israel's 10, sure. But I don't think they have the military effective strength to do anything major. Remember the 90s land war between Iraq and Iran was devastating. I can't remember how it ended. Was it attrition?
     
     Iran should just continue pelting Israel relentlessly for the next few weeks. I think they do have the capacity to build endless rockets and can get the raw materials. At least until the US puts something not retarded on the table.

     @Humpleupagus @Terry There's very little to stop Israel from just agreeing to the deal, keeping the peace for a couple months so they can regroup their military forces and obtain more US weapons, soldiers and resources and then violating it at a time of their choosing. The UN might bitch about it but they aren't going to do anything.
     
     That's why there's no reason to even feign diplomacy with these goblins.

     I think they can get a better deal if they keep it up. Just to for negotiating purposes, they should ask for Israel to pay for the cost of rebuilding their destroyed infrastructure, including the centrifuges. I'm not saying they'll get that, but a good negotiator starts at the extreme, and then horse trades to get to the "middle".

     That's why they want the US to condemn Israel for attacking their centrifuges. It makes it hard for Israel to do it again given the public perception. The U.S. will never condemn Isreal on behalf of Iran though, even to get a deal so it can be later breached.

     @Humpleupagus @DrBtc @Terry And there's also the fact that there are "conventional" payloads that are far more powerful than the nuclear bombs that were used on Japan.
     Iran may very well have nuclear capabilities, but we wont know until they turn the heat up on the oven.
