   Read this story. Get it out. This is important.

   ❝“If soldiers have political views that are in opposition to the current administration and they don't want to be in the audience then they need to speak with their leadership and get swapped out,” another note to troops said.❞

   In a country where the military is one of the more respected institutions, people need — NEED — to hear this:

   They engineered the audience. They faked the appearance of soldiers’ support.

   They staged it like reality TV.

     @inthehands Checked for allegiance, appearance... and race. Notice that almost 100% of those non-fat soldiers in Trump's audience are also WHITE.

     I mean, I’m at least dimly aware of the fraught relationship in the armed services between body weight, fitness, and treatment of soldiers.

     But is it not unprecedented for units to tell soldiers straight up they cannot be in the crowd a public event if they look “fat” for the cameras? I guess maybe it is, and I’ve been naive….

     @inthehands This has always been a thing in the Army, with regards to overweight soldiers directly.

     Not that this is better, but just a fact people should be aware of.

     What IS shocking is the political bullshit, which is almost the exact opposite of what the Army was like while I was enlisted. We weren't allowed to do certain things while in uniform, and political anything was near the top of that list.

     @inthehands It was never really official, but we called them "nonsat fat" or something dumb. I forget because it was so long ago now. I'm sure someone out here remembers.

     Meaning, "non-satisfactory" fat.
