Ok, today is the day I'm going to do it. I'm going to finally look up "neoliberal", because everything I know about "neoliberal" comes from Kim Stanley Robinson's "Ministry for the Future" (not to be mistaken for "El ministerio del tiempo")

I've have got the (unverified) hypothesis that neoliberalism, apart from being responsible for the MAGA rebellion in the US that made Trumpism mainstream, it is a or even the root-cause of the turbocapitalism that enabled #BigOil to comid ecocide.

I don't disagree.
IMO it goes way beyond a feedback loop. The #KochBrothers in particular, but also other "Conservatives" financed #Buchanan's School and many other libertarian think tanks. This was virtually a customized development:

I think there is a feedback loop between Big Oil and neoliberal ideology.
Big Oil pushes the neoliberal agenda (see e.g. the Koch Brothers) and the neoliberals enable Big Oil burning the planet, and so it goes further and further.
