     It's broke af. Drain pan rusted through. Can't get a pan and coils because R410a gear can't be manufactured in the US as of January 1, and my guy can't find any existing stock that fit my unit.

     They're moving to some propane based refrigerant that's highly flammable, because of the environment or some shit. R410a has only been used for about 20 years, so a lot of otherwise repairable units are gonna get junked. Thank God we saved the earth.

     I can handle the cold. When I was in school, I'd run with no shirt while the snow was melting in the spring. I'd also ride my bike to school all geared up when it was below zero. On the other hand, I'm heat intolerant af. I start sweating at 70F.

     I can't wait until fire departments refuse to go into house fires due to the risk of explosion, and people's fire insurance sky rockets beyond what they already have due to risk of complete loss.
     
     I really think they did it because they don't want people to have AC, just like they don't want us to have cars, or anything else that may allow us to live comfortably. The environment is just the sale, and not a good one to anyone with a brain.
