    I'm looking for a VPS with a lot of IPv6 (at least /64, ideally /56 or /48), good routing to Poland, and enough CPU to run chacha20 at 100Mbit/s.

    Is there any provider you'd recommend?

      @wolf480pl No idea, as I'm not in Poland (or am I).

      Nothing cheaper than digging a basement with GNU/Shovel (or just setup a KGPE-D16 with decent fans that aren't too loud and put it in a rack or other case, or behind a wall to block the sound).

      @Suiseiseki ok, then recommend an ISP in Poland that provides IPv6 and good routing, and a cheap basement within that ISP's range

      @Suiseiseki @wolf480pl "ISP that offers IPv6" *is* a pretty tall order in basically every country at this point

      @Zergling_man @wolf480pl Not really - in almost every country, there is 1 or more ISP that offers IPv6 with a /56 or /48 - although competent ISPs are rare (they happen to be negligibly cheaper than the incompetent ones too).

      @Zergling_man @wolf480pl @Mamako The problem of IPv4 address exhaustion was not necessarily caused by demon rectangles - as pretty much all of them use IPv6 now...except with only a IPv4 gateway to the internet of course (but it's what 1 IPv4 address to tens of thousands of mobiles?).

      There are now enough computers and servers on the internet that there are no more IPv4 blocks left to allocate and only the scraps remain.

      @Mamako @wolf480pl @Suiseiseki That's just because it doesn't work.
      If ISPs were not still sucking massive ipv6 dick, there would not be so many complaints, and it *does* solve real problems (which are caused by foans, so, once again, it's fucking normies)

      @Mamako @wolf480pl @Zergling_man Nuking those 3 areas would only delay IPv4 address exhaustion a bit, considering that India and Africa mostly allocates IPv6 now, with CGNAT.

      @wolf480pl @hufman @Zergling_man The short trip - the packets didn't go via the NSA through the USA after all.

      yeah lol :D

      but what do you call it, when packets from your flat in Warsaw goe on a trip to Berlin and Frankfurt before arriving at a university in Warsaw, 15min of walk down the street from your place?

      @Zergling_man @Suiseiseki
      well, in Poland there's UPC Polska, but they:
      a) practice scenic routing
      b) put your IPv4 behind CGNAT (DualStack-Lite) unless you ask them to switch you to IPv4
      c) aren't every reliable
