I seem to have a problem with my USB, my brother reformatted my USB for his 3DPrinter and now it won't work with my book player, all i get now whenever I insert the device inside the player is cartrage error, and my brother @rook has tried to fix it but no luck, and I don't understand why. Can anyone help him out? #Technology, #Blind

@gocu54 @fastfinge FAT32 is usually limited to 4GB max, but there are implementations that seem to avoid that. I can't remember the details. Perhaps what you really need is for it to be formatted as exFAT?

@gocu54 Make sure he's formatting it as FAT32 not NTFS or XFAT or something.

@feld @gocu54 @fastfinge If you don't need files larger than 4 GB, FAT32 is fine for this use case.

@tk @fastfinge @feld Fortunately, none of these files reach anywhere near that far.

@feld @fastfinge @gocu54 Fun fact: UDF can actually be used for hard drives and similar media, and the main modern OSes support that use case for it. I know because I messed around with it years ago. :blobfoxgoogly:
