     @nugger tbh I think a lightweight electric car the size and general power of the original Honda crx (in fact make it look identical) loaded up with sodium ion batteries rather than lithium with like 120 miles range would make a great mass produced peoples car for them to handle day to day commuting and food buying. You'd still have a chance of getting crumpled like a tin can/ dying in an inferno but c'est la vie
     
     This is all a bandaid for not being able to have trains, because they would be full of socioeconomic factors

     The gook auto industry has really put its nose to the grindstone over the past decade. Their luxury segment has struggled to build any badge prestige outside of their country, but they're approaching parity with Lexus in terms of quality.

     If/when I'm in the market for a new car, I'll probably look at five year old genesis sedans in hopes of buying the bottom on a real nice ride that took a depreciation nuke.

     Hyundai hired German designers for the Genesis line, and I think that investment was worth it because they look pretty good. The biggest problem for Genesis at the moment is that the brand's design language still feels pretty uninspired, but everything they're putting onto the road right now is pretty easy on the eyes regardless.
