@waltercool@pl.slash.cl @Suiseiseki@freesoftwareextremist.com @freetar@freesoftwareextremist.com This is a spicy topic but the more freedom the better, the problem around these is that gnu/losers aren't smart enough to bring more people in, all around open source, much less libre software, is a niche thing. Even if they are interested. Restrictions aren't there to work against the users but against the companies that restrict your freedom (actually against governments aka communists)

@waifu @Suiseiseki @freetar What about Hurd?
Even a mentally ill person like Terry Davis did a functional Operative System before GNU/tards -

@waltercool @freetar @waifu Totally braindead.
Terry Davis was only able to write TempleOS due to GNU.
GNU/Hurd is in fact more functional than TempleOS. -

@waltercool @freetar @waifu >More liking to wikipedia.
TempleOS didn't even have a networking stack - thus calling it finished compared to GNU/Hurd which has a networking stack is ridiculous. -

@Snidely_Whiplash @freetar @waifu @waltercool Totally braindead.
Hurd development started before Linux was even announced.
GNU Linux-libre is GNU's primary kernel.
People have built giant infrastructures on top of GNU, with Linux as one component and actually believe it's all Linux. -

Hurd is shit. It was an attempt at dick-measuring by Stallman, and he failed. Linus just has a bigger dick.
So go, use your unusable, unstable and functionally useless kernel, and those of us that have made a career and built giant infrastructures out of Linux will ignore you, as you deserve.
You will be COMPLETELY FREE! to wallow in uselessnes and ideological purity. -

@Snidely_Whiplash @freetar @waifu @waltercool We're hitting levels of braindead that shouldn't be possible.
Yes, Stallman showers when a shower is available, otherwise he washes his hair in a bucket - for some reason people are always surprised that he keeps himself clean. -

@Suiseiseki @freetar @waifu @Snidely_Whiplash And still GNU can be replaced.
GCC is one of the major offenders here, as they introduce custom C/C++ functions (GNU-C) away from the standard (ANSI) and force all their software, including glibc, to use those.
That makes any compiler like Clang very difficult to be a fully replacement to compile GNU solutions and Systemd.
Eventually, they will force people (including myself) to fully replace all the GNU infrastructure as they don't abide to the C and C++ standards.
GNU way of imposing their standards (like Microsoft) are actually boosting the alternatives.Johnny Peligro likes this.
