      @RustyCrab @PunishedD This is why quantum computers are faster. They just use a one for white and zero for black (nobody's developed a graphics API for QCs yet)

      @RustyCrab i was once told that fragments are not necessarily pixels but i still have never had to use that information for anything :retard:

      @Inginsub @binkle I thought the difference was that pixel was literally what was placed on the target or monitor whereas fragment just described a singular unit of shader output, wherever that ends up.

      So like two fragments can end up on the same coordinate but one of them wins out and becomes the contents of the pixel

      I guess the way to put it would be pixel = data slot and fragment = data value

      @RustyCrab @binkle I'm not sure why they chose this terminology, and I see the difference the same way, but my point is that without supersampling and sample shading fragment output corresponds to exactly one framebuffer pixel (before blending)
