@farah it's a very south indian-like curry soup with more fragrant southeast asian spices and body (usually made with like fermented shrimp with sambal on top)
@skinnylatte That is stunning! I miss that style of laksa so, so much. (Though I fear I’d struggle with the spice level as my chilli tolerance has fallen off a cliff from lack of practice)
@skinnylatte I thought kopitiam had closed up altogether though I may be confusing it with another Malaysian place so will definitely visit. Bossstop is my current spicy love when I visit Dublin as they have Chao Shou that I think are just amazing (mostly the sauce). Big respect for your Dublin food knowledge 😁
@skinnylatte I'm a bit late to the laksa party, but that looks amazing. Any chance you could give a pointer to a recipe for this style? Looks similar to a laksa/curry mee recipe I saved from rasamalaysia.com a long time ago, but that one seems to have vanished from their site.
@skinnylatte thanks, I think I only need rau ram/laksa and some fresh turmeric to duplicate that recipe. I foresee a visit to new may wah in the morning!
@skinnylatte Thanks for the Kopitiam recommendation. I’m in Dublin for treatment every 2 weeks and it finished quickly today so I had time to head over before getting the train home. Laksa wasn’t the right dish for today so had their Nasi Lemak with fried chicken and was *very* happy (I need chilli practice in case you’re over 😂)
