   I used to be like "yeah never update" when I was 10 years old but now that I write code I would kill somebody if they decided to have that rhetoric with one of my programs. I make stupid mistakes all of the time. They're literally nerfing themselves :akkowtf2:

     convince devs not to change random UI elements for no reason, remove useful features, or completely overhaul how the entire program looks and feels every two months and maybe people will be more willing to risk updating things

     @Alex That's average web dev behavior because their brain is fried due to the "move fast, break shit" mentality. I don't like writing web applications and I'd probably just leave things as is in my projects if I feel like it's fine and other people also like it.

     @adiz Debian has a purpose with that sort of thing and they backport security patches so like, they're cool.
