     It seems to me like there are 3 options
     
     1. more expensive burgers and living wage
     2. taxes effectively subsidizing businesses by paying welfare to make up for more wages
     3. mass vagrancy because people cannot afford to have a roof over their head
     
     we currently have a middleground between 2 & 3. I'd rather just have more expensive junk food tbh

     It used to be relatively easy to buy a house, but hard to fill it with stupid crap and eat out every night. Now it's the opposite.

     @sun@shitposter.world @Hyperhidrosis@shitposter.world i also dont disagree that usury is a big part of the problem since at minimum it allows companies and financial institutions to obfuscate costs so people don't realize how screwed they are. the avg person is also not financially literate and will make tons of bad decisions which on an individual scale, lol sucks to be them, but in aggregate has lead to this ruined economy that is fucking us all

     But if a job exists then there is a demand for that service or product.
     
     A lemonade stand doesn't have demand which is why you don't see them propped up on every corner.
     
     McDonalds on the other hand is a different story.
     
     Should flipping burgers get you a 5 bedroom house? Probably not. But should an office job that requires relocation, mandatory commuting, travel for business meetings etc, get you this shit for 2k a month?
     
     Absolutely not.
     
     There's a fundamental problem with the economy, money is becoming worthless.
