     what do you think would happen if switzerland announces that their currency is going to be backed by gold?

     there would be a huge demand of swiss franc, the price of gold would skyrocket.

     fiat currencies would massively devalue against the gold backed swiss franc.

     you can give bitcoin to your bank.
     they store them for you and give you bitcoin IOUs to make lightning-fast bitcoin transactions.

     basically what https://lnbits.com/ does but with fiat/crypto/franc instant trading capability.

     there's HUGE amounts of money to be made in financial services in the future.

     And Switzerland holds roughly 1,040 metric tons of gold.
     A ton of gold is about €56,089,940, frank being pretty much equal to euro..... They're kinda short on metal ;)
