     @eric Yes, proprietary slop ran at 30fps.
     
     There were plenty of games with basic optimization that did 60fps on fast computers and those run at 120fps easily on modern computers.

     @lina i was actually referring to consoles for "sub-720p 30 fps", like in the 7th generation people didn't care about pc and pc ports from that era are mostly garbage

     Hardware is 10x faster than it was in 2014
     Games do not look anywhere near 10x better and in many cases they look worse.
     Hitting 60 fps without framegen (didn't even exist then) was common and usually the target for most PC systems.
     Now $2,000 graphics cards struggle to run games at 40 fps consistently

     @RustyCrab @eric yes but most people, especially outside of lets say usa and the likes, didn't have hardware that could run games newer than hl2 at 60 fps tho, i remember trying to play gta 4 on an intel core duo lol

     @eric @lina all games are also unreal now and unreal heavily prefers techniques that leave artifacts and visual glitches everywhere which sets off my autism big time. I think normal people can tell to but to them they just say it "looks bad" without being able to articulate why
