     @nyx yeah like, i'm not doing as bad as you are now, but i bounced around tech for a while, got consistently underpaid by a shitton, had worked for several openly transphobic people, and quit my last job because i felt that i could do the thing i am nominally being paid for better if i was not a part of the company that hired me to do it

     @whitequark if the tech industry wasn't basically a giant scam/casino I would be saying that all the trans girls who are really smart and talented with tech but can't find jobs should just form some kinda startup, but it seemingly is only possible to be successful in this industry being a failson flimflam guy selling snake oil
