@Xibanya I remember an episode of the tv series "Covert Affairs" set in Italy, with some dialogues in Italian.

When they dubbed the series in Italian, that episode had the dialogues in English translated to Italian, as expected, and the dialogues in Italian translated to... Neapolitan dialect.

something I keep seeing in English language stories set in Spanish speaking settings is substituting various words for their equivalent in Spanish, which is always really jarring because if I already understand these characters to be speaking Spanish and then they literally speak Spanish then what the fuck am I to make of that? They spoke ultra Spanish?
