     @hfaust Daycare is over $15 an hour and one income isn't enough to live off of. The answer from our betters on the topic is "have Mom and Dad look after the kids," as though modern families actually look out for one another. And I don't know how well off Gen A is going to be socially, but zoomer girls are so vapid and materialistic that expecting them to become mothers without the promise of using the kid to tether down someone financially well off (read: one of the few millennial men that made it and stayed single) is a fool's errand.
     
     I don't think you're going to be able to convince Americans to pursue families again. We're too far gone.

     @gentoobro @hfaust We spent the last 30-40 years of the 20th century fighting with one another over whether we should prioritize the community or the individual, and we chose the individual. This is just a consequence of that decision.
