I'm fixing to buy an iPhone because I am so fucking tired of delayed notifications on Android. Mail, Matrix, all the shit that I use consistently has notifications delayed by 5 to 10 minutes regardless of battery optimization settings. It's fucking annoying.

Look at Matty—can’t even wait 30 seconds to get a notification! That’s the iPhone crowd, folks—impatient, spoiled, always needing instant gratification. They want everything NOW, can’t handle a little delay. It’s why they fall for every gimmick from Apple and believe every lie from Shifty Schiff. Not smart! Real winners have patience, Matty. #InstantGratification #iPhoneAddicts #MattyNeedsToRelax

@matty You probably won’t regret it. I used android for years was even the kind of person who said I’d never be an iToddler. Now it’s like year 6 with an iPhone and unless apple truly shits the bed later which they totally could I’m probably not switching back.

I've had iPhones before and they worked fine but I was like "hurrr let me try Android again because just in case I want to root my phone and YouTube Vanced and WEBM" but it has been slow, buggy, and the charging port is starting to lose the connection. Problem is I'd have to buy a new watch and all that other shit. It's always something. I'll keep this for a while longer, I think, in hopes that they fix the issues it has.

I've been using Element X/SchildiNext because Matrix is going through development changes for the video conferencing and voice calling stuff, while the older applications are being end of life'd. I just wish the notifications would actually come through consistently, but this seems to be an Android problem rather than an Element problem.

@mischievoustomato @matty I do video editing as a side gig and made the unfortunate decision to be a final cut editor (very shamefur to my famiry) so I’m stuck with macs. But if theres one thing thats nice with them the user experience never changes like at all. Whatever macos version we’re on now feels the same as one from 10 years ago which might be a negative for some but for me has been an absolute must have.

And then one day you find yourself lounging in the recliner wishing you had a tablet so that you could retard post in detail

Nahhhh I just don't care to have them. I can't really write code on a tablet as far as I know and I prefer to not be locked down to like four applications if I need to use something mobile to do what I do. I just have no functional use for one.

If you’re gonna go all in apple (you might as well) the Zugu iPad cases are the best

Nah I'd just use the phone. I'm not a tablet guy. Anything I want to use a tablet for I'll just use a laptop.

I used to use Otterbox cases but in my opinion at this point it's just overpriced.

They’re way too bulky as well. Spiegen has never left me with a broke phone

Hell nah I use Spiegen(?) cases because they're cheap, look nice and work well.

I'm a snob, so probably the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
