If we can't draw conclusions from patterns why are we bothering to measure reality at all?
I won't deny that many tall tales are woven to oversimplify complex behaviors, but that's not the same as saying there are no driving forces.

it's just nonsense. there are tons of 'complicated problems' that have simple solutions. and often the 'solutions' put forward by the accuser are just as simple (or: simplistic). -
