Look at Crunchyroll US prices a week ago and compare them to now... I don't think they'll move the nendoroid factories to America...

@teto I believe the USA profits for Nendoroid's are less than what the Japanese and the Chinese markets net - thus they're are just going to increase the prices for the USA the tariff amount plus a bit more (as every time a business needs to increase the price to maintain profitability, they tend to increase it to give a bigger profitability percentage than before).

@Suiseiseki wtf are you talking about nigga. The tariffs are there so companies sell less after increasing prices and then move to the USA to offer cheaper prices once more or whatever political long-term game this really is. Emphasis on long term. In the meantime we'll pay 80 dollars instead of 50 dollars for the Miku nendo. If the company doesn't move it's just a permanent price increase with no benefit for customers in the USA

Yes, that's the <ruby>計画<rt>けいかく</rt></ruby> (note: keikaku means plan), but in practice what happens is that companies just increase prices to include the tariffs plus a bit more and do not move.<br/>
>If the company doesn't move it's just a permanent price increase with no benefit for customers in the USA<br/>
Which is exactly what will happen in most cases.

@Suiseiseki it's protectionism and ends the neoliberal era of global market politics. I still don't think it's gonna make Japs open anime figure factories in Montana
