     @light I was thinking about this the other day. like its bad that trump put innocent people into an el salvadoran jail. but it's not really anything new, we already did that with bush and obama in guantanamo which is objectively worse. so people getting upset now are kind of full of shit.

     @light I just realized that it doesn't matter what side somebody in america is on they have a bunch of terrible shit that already happened that they ignore until sides flip. it's tiring. I thinik it's underestimated how much people are exhausted from believing it matters. on the other hand people that are mad now aren't boiling over because they are cumulatively fed up with what happened before, they largely have forgotten it

     @sun IIRC a lot of left-leaning people were against the Guantanamo bay stuff though, so calling them full of shit isn't quite fair.
     That's the problem with any kind of group-based thinking. It's always based on generalisations.
