   Does anyone using discord in browser have this issue where it logs you out every single day? And you have to log back in every time you turn you computer back on?

     @Vo @solidsanek I would rather use discord than slack or microsoft teams or skype for buisness. It's ass but those others are much worse

     @vaartis @solidsanek I had something similar when I was using Ripcord (a third-party client that strips a lot of telemetry and provides privacy options that the official client doesn't)

     Token wouldn't work, so I'd log in on browser and get "Something suspicious is going on here" and it would make me reset my password. So I'd just alternate between two passwords, daily. After two months of this they locked my account and demanded a phone number verification.

     So I quit using it altogether.

     @Vo @solidsanek they don't tell me anything like that, it just logs me out. I do unfortunately need it for work so I cannot really stop using it.

     @solidsanek @Vo I always hated its UI, and also it would just lose messages and I could never find them later, the audio calls were ass, and the phone app was even worse than discord in terms of notification consistency. That was like 5 years ago though, I haven't used slack in a while

     this, it hides replies into folded threads and it's way too easy to miss discussions happening in a day-old thread. my workflow with slack is proactively replying to any posts where I presume that I might want to participate in the thread and then checking the "Threads" tab every once in a while
     I prefer the way mattermost does this (all replies in the channel are visible, threads are color-coded or openable in a side panel)
     
     also slack markdown support is just bad.
