@bitals@fediverse.bitals.xyz @iskyline332@mastodon.social You also have to consider stuff like MariaDB timestamps and such tho, or program your application around that.

I generally think your own timezone is fine when either you are the only user or everyone is in the same timezone, but if there is anybody with different local time everything should instantly be UTC.
A shame I can't convince anybody I work with to do so, and there are servers I need to look at literally everywhere from US to Japan, all with their local time set up.
