     @KeepTakingTheSoma Exactly! 💰 because it's HUGGGGGGGGGGGE. These bastards are making a killing on this, and worse if they are, like many of them, also ideologically for this sort of shit. Meanwhile, ordinary people can't get legal aid or help with anything.

     @sim @HebrideanHecate I've always been happy for my country to provide asylum for political reasons. Felons I can cope with them facing justice in their own country. I will not shed a single tear for a sex offender or violent criminal who is deported.

     @sim @HebrideanHecate Therein lies the problem. We have a bureaucratic class that is happy to waste our money on legal aid for anyone who feels sad that they might have to go to prison in their homeland, regardless of the circumstances. If there were a filtering system (which I now suspect there isn't) it's been abused to the point where it no longer works.

     @Nudhul @HebrideanHecate @KeepTakingTheSoma As usual, they only feel comfortable oppressing white people these days. So the laws apply to us but not others. Although, in this case, sex offenders should be feeling the full force of the law. We should not be taking them in. Let them face the consequences.

     @sim @Nudhul @HebrideanHecate We are now at the point where the law allows for sacred castes who cannot be convicted of crimes because mumble mumble reasons reasons.
     The law should be without fear or favour and we should all be equal under it. That has not been the case for a while.
