To people using instances that support more features than Mastodon, could you tell us what missing features should be implemented?
PS: #Fedilab already supports some features such reactions or quotes (you have to enable extra-features in Settings).

@apps Do you think there's a chance to implement a rudimentary support for Hubzilla? An Android app for sending posts exists. It's very basic though but demonstrates that there is a way.

Of course reading your stream and being able to reply would be, well ... a win. 😄
To have the whole feature set of Hubzilla in a mobile app would be an overkill and not important as you can handle it well in a PWA. Just to basically connect with Fedilab would be very helpful.
@MrClon
By enabling extra-features, you will be able to to post in markdown and more.
For pic numbers, it's a bug, the app reads instance limits and should change this limit automatically.
@apps i think support for more than 4 pics and posting in markdown is most important easy to implement features of non-mastodon
@MrClon
Bookmarked for fixing that.
@mario I know. It's just an idea. Fedilab can do more than just Mastodon. That's why I asked for.
@dankeck
Yes, we have a ticket on our repository. That is planned to improve that point :)
@apps
"Local only" posting in GoToSocial. Although the option exists when posting, it doesn't have the intended effect. At least, not on my instance.
No matter the setting of "Local only", the post is not local-only.
The only effect is: when "Local only" is set, Fedilab adds an eye emoji to the post: 👁
Otherwise, Fedilab seems to work well with GoToSocial!
@morph
The project from gitlab is in react native and will work for both ios and Android. Maybe it's better than the dev find more support for their project?
It would be possible to bring that support, by starting with few features but it might take time.
@MrClon
Oh OK. Mastodon api has a dedicated endpoint that allows to know more about instance limits. So apps are now able to apply them.
@apps in ideal world it should be fixed in mastodon itself, but we didn't live in ideal world, and mastodon devs seemingly love such artificial limits
@apps i don't use FediLab, so i don't know if it doesn't work, just named some Mastodon disabilities. I hope some of them can be somehow bypassed on client side, so mastodon users become less disabled
@apps I can imagine that all of this stuff is always a lot of work.
@schmaker
Bookmarked. Thanks for sharing.
@apps I would like to see #Friendica circles implemented - public/restricted is not enough 😀
It's propably more common in #Fediverse, not only for Friendica
Also, having proper gallery management would be awesome, but I think it's out of scope for you
@sousse
We have to check that. Bookmarked
@apps I'd love to see closer integration with Peertube content.
For example, when someone posts a link to a Peertube video, it shows a video player for Peertube. If you want to favorite or comment on the video, or to follow the channel, there's no one click way to do that. You end up having to copy the URL and search for it.
