   If I can add something, let's not forget that things like NAFTA are part of a broader effort. For example, our government gave tax cuts to any corporation that shipped jobs out of the country as part of their war on unions.

   I remember a weak attempt by Dems to end those tax cuts, which resulted in them getting attacked for "raising taxes."

   For all I know, those tax cuts are still on the books. No doubt your area was affected by this.

     @blogdiva Yes; but that's a very hard conversation to have while Trump is weaponizing it to justify turning both of our closest neighbors into puppet states or annexing them outright.

     But I'm from the Rust Belt, and globalization/the trade agreements that come with it absolutely DEVASTATED my home so a bunch of already rich people could get richer.

     I'm just not gonna pretend Trump cares or that his solutions will help; he's legit trying to take over the Western Hemisphere.
