   Me: Seriously? Does my nightstand look like Batman's belt, able to produce whatever happens to be needed at any given moment?

   Me: <puts regular salt shaker back on nightstand, hands him popcorn salt>

     See elsewhere in the thread. It is explicit NOT iodized. It's also much more fine grain, proving good things come in small packages.

     Humorously, for the first decade of our marriage, whenever I came home with some fancy sea salt, spouse would laugh and say, "NaCl is NaCl is NaCl"

     Popcorn salt seems to have brought him around

     @kims I have so many questions, starting with how “popcorn salt” differs from regular table salt. Extra iodized, perhaps?

     My most arrogant belief is that if all couples could spend two weeks as a fly on the wall to our marriage, half of them would divorce immediately

     It's not that anyone could put up with either one of us, mind you. As individuals, we have our quirks that most would find intolerable. But as a collective, we're two people who quite obviously still like, love, respect, and genuinely enjoy one another after nearly thirty years

     We're incredibly lucky and we both know it

     Not embarrassment, more an awareness of what relationships can be

     We're still kind after 29 years. We don't believe in symmetry and we don't keep score. We don't expect mind-reading. We're a blend of together lives and separate lives that changes in proportion without friction

     We take all the important things for granted (safety, security, trust) without ever taking each other for granted

     We're not unique, but based on my observations I don't think we're the norm

     "It's called USB B to USB C and why would you just *assume* I have every USB cable combination? What do you think I am?"
