@villebooks Are these idiots serious? Let’s just bloody ignore what Russia did, shall we? And I guess we’ll just do so for the next country they invade. Why? Because Trump says so. Who are these muppets?
@villebooks Trump is literally proposing strip mining Ukraine while giving Russia everything they want. And he wants to ethnically cleanse Gaza of Palestinians. And that’s called peace? Sorry, not in my book. That’s capitulation. That’s surrender. Peace isn’t the absence of war; it is the presence of justice. That son of a bitch and his chum Putin can get fucked.
@aral It's not possible to ignore crimes against humanity #warcrimes of a war party, provided that every member state of international agreements respects the laws As you can see, there are nations breaching rules, so to achieve progress in peace talks, it takes serious efforts of negotiation. If you think, talking means surrender, like the EU expresses it, then you have to continue war - which means against Russia, to lose. If you get rogue like US aginst UN, then you can't call for justice.
@villebooks What does this have to do with Russian civilians? No one’s invaded Russia. Russia invaded Ukraine. Siding with Russia in this is no different than siding with Israel in its bloody genocide. I stand by my initial assessment because I’m being generous. If they’re not idiots then they’re something far worse.
@aral They are no idiots, btw. They have just an opinion, Aral. We should respect that, to not end on the lowest level of communication, as it became the norm between politicians. We can only achieve justice for the victims of both sides in the Ukraine-Russia war, if we accept, that there are Russian civilians fighting for real change, and they need the same protection. Long-range missiles are no solution, particularly not, if you live next to Russian borders, and not overseas.
@aral That's not correct, many civilians died in Kursk 2023-24. It's your personal right to side with everyone, but it's not abour siding, if you want to protect the people in a war. That's the difference. Like nuking Israel will not help to save Palestine. Or vice versa. You have civil defence units in ISR who fight for the rights in the West Bank. It's not that easy to pick a side. Only, if you want to sustain front lines.
@villebooks If it’s not easy to pick a side when one side is committing genocide, you’ve already picked a side, it’s the side of the oppressor.
@villebooks
It is an attempt to close the eyes on all the ethnic cleansing on the occupied territories russia has been doing last 11 years. And especially since 2022.
They haven't lowered their demands for Ukraine to fully capitulate on a bit, even after they got kicked from the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions. What makes you think that russia can be pacified to stop doing what they're doing?
