"A 12-year-old girl was raped, her assault filmed and uploaded to Pornhub, where it was monetized and made available to the site’s 170 million daily users. A download button ensured her trauma would haunt her forever online. She begged P*rnhub to remove it—five days later, she got an automated reply. Nothing more. The video stayed up, raking in cash for Pornhub’s executives.
Investigations, whistleblowers, and lawsuits uncovered the truth: Pornhub had 1,800 employees but just 10 moderators per shift in Cyprus, drowning under 169 years’ worth of homemade video uploads and millions of images yearly. One single lone staffer worked five days a week to review user-flagged videos, facing a backlog of 706,000. They didn’t verify the age or consent of those in the videos being uploaded, but they didn’t care, in fact the CEO was exposed in uncovered e-mails calling their policies “good and reasonable.”
In Canada, this survivor is leading a $600 million class action lawsuit against Pornhub. In the U.S., a federal judge certified multiple class action lawsuits representing tens of thousands of child victims.
Together we have forced Pornhub to take down 91% of the site, have pressured the credit card companies into cutting all ties, and so much more—but these survivors deserve justice to be served fully and finally.

@AnungIkwe @Lailamickelwait There is a solution to online porn.
Every time someone logs on, their details are published online and their access to services is stopped.
Every time someone sets up a site, their details are published online and their access to services is stopped.
Governments and their agencies are able to do this to individuals and companies. We saw it in Canada with the trucker protests. We've seen it on social media with women. We've seen it in the UK with bank accounts.
If they can do it to their political enemies then they can do it to pornographers and their users.
I wonder why they don't.

@HebrideanHecate @AnungIkwe @Lailamickelwait Porn has always been with us because of male sexuality.
But I'd quite like a return to the days of when it was a bit shameful rather than part of the mainstream. That would go a long way to reducing the problem.
And can we please stop telling children that it's normal? Or promoting it to children? That we have to say this in 2025 speaks volumes.
