Framework's 2-in-1 has some neat tricks under the hood, too.
It’s being designed with school deployments in mind. The 4 USB-C expansion cards can optionally be locked from the inside of the chassis to prevent removal. Neat!
But I'm most excited that the ribbon cable connecting the keyboard input cover to the mainboard is GONE!! Instead, it will use POGO pins. Ribbon cables give me anxiety, so good riddance!
@killyourfm@frameworkcomputer I was ready to shit all over this post with rants about capitalism and the ideas of just making their own version of a shitty 12" laptop but then I read the article. Holy cow this may be the neatest little guy. I'm not sure how well my big caveman hands would do typing on this but damned if I don't want one.
@cienmilojos@frameworkcomputer If get the opportunity to review one, I'll definitely keep hand size top of mind as I'm daily driving it. (In addition to touchscreen responsiveness and overall quality of the touchpad.)
