     @whiteman_ Yes they do. You end up with a dead rat to remove or a rat leg stuck to it that it chewed off to escape.

     Traps wwould probably be the best way to go. Cage traps and then drown the rats. Poisons are best avoided as you have animals around and you have little control over what happens after vermin eats it and you do not want your cats getting sick.
