@lienrag The Catholic theology is incredibly retarded, but in a much different way than Evangelicals.
There were human bones embedded in our altar that they claimed were from a Saint. It's a weird ass cult.
Source: forced to suffer through 8 years of Catholic school, successfully escaped the cult by rejecting the sacrament of Confirmation -

I know that you're shitposting but you're aware that the official Catholic theology isn't as retarded as American's televangelists' one, right ?
So your jab doesn't really work here...

@lienrag what I've learned is that Catholics don't actually espose the teachings of the Bible, but people I brefriended of a very quiet but insular Christian cult that I shouldn't name actually do. Some of the nicest people I've ever met. Nice enough that I'd actually join them even though I don't believe the lore behind their teachings.
I don't have trauma. I knew it was bullshit when I was very young. I spent years getting in trouble for rejecting their teachings and asking the wrong questions -- as far back as when I was in 3rd grade.
I don't know why they were obsessed with making kids do coloring books of Jesus, but they especially hated how I'd give him camouflage and guns and just make a mockery of the entire thing lol -

Also, I'd advise to read the very good comic "Les mauvaises gens" by Étienne Davodeau. And if you ever want to understand more deeply what you've suffered and why you suffered it, "Le Dieu pervers" by Maurice Bellet is very good.
Also "L'Évangile au risque de la psychanalyse" by Françoise Dolto, I guess.
Both are by christian authors, but can be read as an atheist (the later is specially designed with that intent).
